What does a EET / PAT inspection involve.
We make sure there is no damage or defects to your equipment and the equipment is wired correctly. We will be also checking the plug has the correct fuse and is wired correctly. This is known as a Visual inspection We then use our EET / PAT testing machine to test your equipment to make sure that it is safe to use. If your equipment has passed the EET / PAT test we will then issue you a green EET / PAT test label which will be applied to your equipment. If your equipment does fail due to damage or defects or is unsafe to use due to electrical fault you will be issued a red label and you must not use this equipment until it is fixed. Once payment has been received we will then issue you a certificate and a register which will provide a list of items tested on the day. For DJs, bands, musicians and for entertainers the EET / PAT test will be valid for 12 months But you must carry out a visual inspection every time you use your equipment as it's your responsibility to make sure your equipment is safe to use. EET Testing means: Electrical Equipment Testing. PAT stands for portable appliance testing. Your electrical equipment should meet safety standards.
