What is the difference between a class 1 appliance and a class 2 appliance

When PAT Testing Class 1 appliances, the Earth Continuity and Insulation Resistance tests are carried out. In a Class 2 appliance, the user is protected by at least two layers of insulation. For this reason, Class 2appliances are also known as Double Insulated. They do not require an Earth connection

How many items can be PAT tested in the day

A qualified and experienced PAT tester can test properly on average 150 items per day in an industrial setting and up to 300 items per day in an office

Please contact Croydon Pat testing for more information
Battery powered testers can be used on construction sites, and there is no risk of damaging equipment, however most can only perform a low current earth continuity test. For 110V site equipment, a high current earth bond test is preferable. For regularly testing 110V equipment, dual voltage PAT testers are available.
